Project description

The aim of this work was to develop and validate a new method to assess objectively and quantitatively the morphology of the nostrils after nasal or nasolabial surgery. Digital image analysis and specific mathematical algorithms were used to assess several geometric measurements, particularly of facial asymmetry, expressed in adimensional units. This work was done in collaboration with the Plastic Surgery Department of the ULB Brugmann Hospital.
